Renault transforms the hybrid
The E-Tech full hybrid system consists of a turbocharged petrol engine, combined with a new electric motor and lithium-ion battery, and the power is transmitted through a multi-mode gearbox. Renault Austral has a total power of 200 horsepower, which provides all the necessary performance, but at the same time consumes only 60.1 liters of petrol per 100 kilometers† and emits only 105 g/km of CO2.
The most impressive feature is that Renault Austral can travel up to 683 miles^ without the need to charge the battery or refuel. Charging takes place during braking and deceleration.
Advanced technology that helps drive safely
The 12-inch openR multimedia screen, along with the 12.3-inch driver display and the 9.3-inch head-up display, offers an impressive digital space and a world of control and information.
With built-in Google*, you can use Google Maps, Google Play, and Google Assistant to easily control car features such as air conditioning, driving mode, or heated seats. You can also use it to search for locations, respond to messages, and make phone calls. And with Google Play, you can download over 50 apps.** Built-in Google* even allows you to control smart home devices right from your car. Connected driving has never been easier – and full of possibilities.
In addition, the new Renault Austral offers up to 30 advanced driver assistance systems^^, including the head-up display, adaptive Matrix LED lighting, active steering assistant, adaptive cruise control***, lane keeping assistant, and much more, all of which help ensure peace of mind behind the wheel, no matter where you are.
And when it comes to entertainment, the Harman Kardon audio system of the new Renault Austral**** can make even the longest journey enjoyable with its 485W of power and 12 speakers, including a subwoofer.
Agility in every turn
The advanced 4Control Advanced chassis system**** of the new Renault Austral uses the latest ideas from Renault engineers to make driving more comfortable and enjoyable – wherever you are. Thanks to the innovative rear-wheel steering capability together with the front wheels, Renault delivers a more maneuverable and agile family SUV.
Below 30 mph, the rear wheels turn slightly in the opposite direction to the car’s turning, reducing the overall turning radius to just 10.1 meters and making it easier to navigate narrow city streets. Above 30 mph, the rear wheels turn slightly in the same direction as the driver’s turn, offering greater stability and cornering ability.
The 4Control Advanced system is part of the Multi-Sense system of the new Austral, which offers Comfort, Eco, Sport, and Personal driving modes. They control various car functions such as steering stiffness, engine response, or even interior lighting, adjusting the character of the car to your mood, situation, and driving style. The Personal mode allows the driver to set individual settings according to their own taste.
Sense for design
With its distinctive design, combining French elegance with a powerful presence, the new Renault Austral makes a clear impression. Sharp headlights, a heavily contoured front fascia, and bulges above the wheel arches give it a sporty look. Choose from three equipment lines: techno, techno esprit Alpine, and iconic esprit Alpine, with the latter offering Alpine spirit markings, an F1 blade front grille, 20-inch Daytona wheels, Alcantara fabric upholstery with blue stitching, and a steering wheel with red, white, and blue stitching.
